Overview In Detail

Kochi represents diversity. The commercial capital of Kerala, with a different statement from the rest of the State-whether in clothes or lifestyle. Kochi is a place with deep roots in history and its streets exude an old-world charm, a place with beautiful monuments and a variety of linguistic and ethnic communities including Jews, Konkinis, Gujaratis and so on.

Guruvayur is home to the historic Sree Krishna Temple, called the Dwaraka of the South. It is among the most revered and popular pilgrimage destinations in Kerala and the entire country. The central shrine is believed to have been rebuilt in 1638 C.E. The architectural style and individual elements inside the shrine are beautiful representations of the history of the place.

Sabarimala is a famed Hindu pilgrimage spot located amidst the conclave of luxuriant forests. Situated in the Western Ghat mountain ranges, this place enjoys nature’s pristine beauty as gurgling streams and river Pamba caress its sides. One can see millions of people flocking this place in the holy months of November-December which is the Mandalakala season according to the Malayalam calendar. This is an annual pilgrim season and devotees form all over India and abroad throng Sabarimala, irrespective of their classes, castes and financial backgrounds.

Kottayam  is a major town in Kerala, South India, located 60 km south east to Kochi. The town is India's first 100% literate town, also known as Letter Capital of Kerala, due to headquarters of more than a dozen publishing houses and newspaper companies as well as several famous colleges and university. The city is one of the strongest centers of Kerala's indigenous Church, the Malankara Orthodox Church, a major non-catholic church.

As the name breaks into Thiru-anantha-puram, it comes to mean 'City of Lord of Anantha' where Lord of Anantha refers to Sri Padmanabhaswamy; a temple of the deity is so prominent an attraction that it presence seems to be embossed above all. But this is just one of the many places where spiritual and religious craving can be satiated. At the coasts where Arabian Sea and Rivers like Killi and Karamana flaunts with the land of the city, one can sit and give in to the urge of introspection as well as retrospection.
